The CEPIS Legal and Security Issues Special Interest Network (LSI SIN) brings together experts from CEPIS Member Societies with the mission of collecting, synchronizing and providing independent professional expertise from CEPIS experts to relevant and interested European parties. It focuses on IT-related legislation and IT security issues.
This includes, for example, the following activity areas:
- develop, discuss and promote publicly visible statements on issues in the area of IT-related legislation and IT security
- provide expertise to European bodies and stakeholders (e.g. European Parliament, Commission, agencies and other institutions)
- provide expertise on security knowledge in the development of ECDL, EUCIP and other education, training and certification projects of CEPIS
