9 out of 10 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) say that their role has moved ‘beyond technology’ and now includes non-traditional areas such as data analytics, business reporting, sustainability and talent acquisition.
A global study from Lenovo asked CIOs around the world how their role has changed recently. Most respondents indicated that the job has become more challenging over the last few years. The increasing use of AI and automation aimed at talent acquisition and hybrid work patterns create previously unseen focus areas and bring the CIOs into the entire value chain of an organisation, also raising their profile.
