The European Commission, DIGITAL SME and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) are calling on SMEs to join a joint SME Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI), for which the European Commission and DIGITAL SME will select approximately 20 SMEs.
The Focus Group’s aim is to help stakeholders understand adoption, use, and impacts over time of AI and related technologies (robotics, automation in general, machine learning, etc.). The Focus Group will also closely follow the social and economic impacts (e.g. skills, recruitment, employers-workers relations).
Applications can be sent through the working group website, where more general information may also be found.
Group timeline:
- Until 10 January 2020: Open call to join Focus Group on AI
- February – March 2020: First face-to-face Focus Group Meeting
- September – October 2020: Second Focus Group Meeting (online)
After that, the Focus Group will run for approximately 3 to 5 years and meet 2 times per year (online or in-person).
