What initiatives are you using to bring diversity into your technical teams?
Reaching gender balance and having an equal workplace is one of the most important targets of Vodafone Turkey. To have that, we make a great effort to empower, employ and retain female talents for technical roles with hiring KPIs. By tracking on monthly basis, we are forecasting gender balance for top management in every function and youth hiring’s for technical roles to strengthen our female talent pipeline. At Vodafone Turkey, we are trying to retain our diverse structure as well as we can during COVID-19. Every team has its own dynamics and needs. Key enablers of our diversity initiatives and strategy are our Leadership Teams. Starting from the leaders to individuals, we are providing online trainings to feed people managers, and the teams with the various solutions during the crisis to keep up with changing needs of our talents. Women in Technology Empowerment & Internship programs are also built for our purpose. There is also an internal platform where 4 working groups (Engage, Empower, Inspire and Social Responsibility) initiated to invest more on the gender balance strategy.Bülent Bayram, HR Director
