CEPIS President, Luis Fernandez-Sanz, joined other key stakeholders at a high-level discussion on fostering technology investments and collaboration between the EU and India, held on 16 May under the EU-India Trade and Technology Council (TTC).
The EU-India TTC was set up as a joint initiative of European Commission President von der Leyen and Indian Prime Minister Modi last year, and its first ministerial meeting also took place on 16 May. During the discussion, Indian Minister for Communication, Electronics and IT, and Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Indian Minister of External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Textiles, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Piyush Goyal, discussed how investment and collaboration in technology can be fostered between the EU and India, including how a skilled IT workforce can be developed.
