Commission commits €49 million to boost cybersecurity innovation

The European Commission has committed nearly €41 million, through the Horizon 2020 (H2020) programme, to support 9 projects aimed at working on innovative cybersecurity and privacy solutions, and a further €7.6 million through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to fund 21 more projects.

The H2020-funded projects will focus on cybersecurity and privacy solutions for individuals and SMEs, as well as on improving healthcare infrastructures and other critical security systems. The CEF-funded projects will work toward building the EU’s cybersecurity and threat management capacity.
