New EU investment in green and digital transition

The European Commission has proposed to set up 10 new European Partnerships between the European Union, Member States and/or the industry. The EU will provide €10 billion, to be matched by the other investors. The priorities focussing on digital are smart networks and services (including cybersecurity, 5G and others), and key digital technologies (electronic components, their design, manufacture and integration in systems and the software that defines how they work). The main aim of this investment programme is to accelerate the transition towards a green, climate neutral and digital Europe, and to make European industry more resilient and competitive.
