TBD holds its 6th Cyber Security Ecosystem Development Summit

The 6th Cyber Security Ecosystem Development Summit, organised by the Informatics Association of Turkiye (TBD) was successfully held on 14-15 March 2023, at the Information Technologies and Communications Authority headquarters in Ankara, Turkiye. It was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK), and the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

The President of TBD, Mr. Rahmi Aktepe, and the Chairman of the BTK, Mr. mer Abdullah Karagzolu, gave the opening remarks, followed by two keynote speeches on current global cyber training and precautions to be taken and real cyber attack senarios. The Summit’s first day also saw two panels on “Policy and Strategies in the New Century of Cyber Security” and “The Importance of Digital Security Technologies in a Disaster Period.” 

The second day featured two panels on “Entrepreneurship in the Digital Economy and Cyber Security Ecosystem” and “Cyber Security Applications and Solutions” as well as two keynote talks on DNSSEC: DNS security extensions, and social engineering attacks and cyber resilience in the period of disaster. 

24 expert speakers and 900 people – cyber security ecosystem stakeholders, consisting of representatives of the public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations, and universities – attended the event. 

The TBD 6th Cyber Security Ecosystem Development Summit thus has contributed to the cybersecurity ecosystem’s development by boosting national resilience, ensuring the sustainability of domestic product and/or service development activities, encouraging cyberentrepreneurship, and identifying the fundamental policies and strategies that should be put into place in order to expand the cyber security economy.
