Take a look at an overview of policies on data literacy and AI education in three European countries! TrainDL is a European education policy project funded by the European Union in the Erasmus+ program, with partners in Germany, Lithuania and Austria. The central goal is to provide evidence-based recommendations for the structural implementation of data literacy and AI skills in curricula and education systems across Europe.

To evaluate the state of policies on data literacy and AI education and identify possible gaps in current policy, the TrainDL Policy Monitor was developed. It aims to visualize the state of policies in digital education, with a focus on evaluating the state of data literacy (DL) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) education, including teacher education. The interactive map visualizes to what extent DL and/or AI education are addressed within a country, based on an expert assessment of relevant available policies in the three countries. The goal is to help experts and policymakers to identify potential gaps in current policy and to facilitate further discussion.
Check out the interactive map and compare systems for policies in all three countries at https://traindl-policymonitor.ocg.at/! It is still work-in-progress – currently, the project is focusing on improving and extending this monitor with policies from other countries. If you can provide input such as information regarding further policies or suggestions for improvement, please contact us at https://train-dl.eu/en/contact!
