A new Eurobarometer report on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the future of work reveals that most Europeans view digital technologies, including AI, as having a positive impact on jobs, the economy, and society. 62% of Europeans see AI and robots favorably in the workplace, while 70% believe these technologies boost productivity.
AI is also seen as beneficial for worker safety, with 67% supporting its use to enhance security. However, concerns remain over its implementation. A vast majority—84%—stress the need for careful AI management to protect privacy and ensure transparency at work.
The report highlights strong public demand for clear regulations, with 82% backing privacy protections and 77% advocating for worker involvement in shaping AI-driven workplace technologies. While AI’s role in the workplace is widely supported, responsible oversight is seen as essential for its success.
