5th International Informatics and Software Engineering Conference Held in Ankara

The 5th edition of the International Informatics and Software Engineering Conference (IISEC 2026) was held face-to-face on 5–6 February 2026 in Ankara, bringing together researchers, academics, and industry professionals from the field of information technologies.

Since its inception, IISEC has been supported by IEEE. In line with this tradition, papers approved by reviewers and presented at the conference will be submitted for publication in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, subject to IEEE’s scope and quality criteria. This year, 204 papers were evaluated, with 128 papers accepted and presented at the conference.

The conference was organized by the Turkish Informatics Association in collaboration with IEEE and leading Turkish academic institutions, including Atılım University, TED University, and OSTİM Technical University, along with other supporting organizations.

The main theme of IISEC 2026 was “Large Language Models in Software Engineering,” reflecting the growing impact of AI-driven technologies on software development practices. In addition to the main theme, participants presented original research across a wide range of topics in informatics, computer science, and software engineering, reinforcing IISEC’s role as an important international scientific platform.
