KNVI to Host AI-Focused Event on the Future of Information Professionalism

The KNVI Event “AI, wat denk jij zelf?” (“AI, what do you think?”) will take place on 5 November 2026 in Rotterdam, bringing together information and IT professionals to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on expertise, decision-making and professional responsibility. The event will examine how professionals can navigate the “Second Cycle” of information professionalism, where human expertise increasingly interacts with autonomous systems.

The programme features keynote speakers Kees Verhoeven and Ajuna Soerjadi, alongside expert sessions on leadership, digital sovereignty, AI governance and data-driven decision-making. Interactive discussions and workshops will encourage participants to critically assess both the opportunities and risks of AI adoption in society and the workplace.

KNVI (Koninklijke Nederlandse Vereniging van Informatieprofessionals) is a member society of CEPIS. As part of CEPIS’s commitment to supporting initiatives of our Member Societies that align with CEPIS strategy, we are proud to be one of the sponsors of this important debate on the future role of technology professionals and the need to maintain critical thinking in an AI-driven world.
