StandICT.eu 2029 Calls for Experts on AI and Key Digital Technologies

StandICT.eu 2029 has opened its second Open Call, inviting ICT standardisation experts from across Europe to submit proposals for funded participation in global Standards Developing Organisations (SDOs). The deadline for applications is 24 April 2026.

Open Call 2 places a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, particularly topics aligned with the CEN-CENELEC JTC 21 and the European Commission’s standardisation request on high‑risk AI systems. Urgent priorities include dataset governance, accuracy and robustness specifications, logging and record‑keeping, transparency, and human oversight. Additional focus areas cover risk management, cybersecurity requirements, and quality management systems.

Beyond AI, the programme highlights a wide range of strategic ICT domains, including 5G and beyond, cloud and edge computing, IoT, digital health, quantum technologies, e-government, blockchain, Web 4.0, smart cities, and sustainable digital growth.

StandICT.eu also continues to strengthen its Mentorship Programme, pairing seasoned standardisation professionals with newcomers to build long-term European leadership in ICT standards.
