The Spanish General Council of Professional Colleges in Computer Engineering (CCII) hosted the IV National Awards in Computer Engineering on 20 March 2026 at the Senate of Spain.
Now a benchmark event, the awards recognise outstanding contributions of computer engineering to society and highlight digital technologies as a driver of economic and social progress. Distinctions are made across a broad range of categories, including professional careers (female and male engineers), innovative projects in the public and private sectors, entrepreneurship (individuals and companies), digital dissemination, humanism and social commitment, and ethical technology companies (“Empresa éTICa”).
This year’s ceremony brought together leaders from academia, industry, and public administration, underlining the strategic importance of the ICT sector in Spain and its service to the public interest. Recognised initiatives included cutting-edge public-sector digital transformation projects, such as blockchain-based infrastructures, alongside leading professionals in fields like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Through these awards, CCII continues to strengthen the visibility, excellence, and societal impact of the computer engineering profession, inspiring innovation and best practices across Europe.
