The German Informatics Society (GI) is bringing over 50 experts under the age of 30 from all over the world together in the Youth4DigitalSustainability project for digital sustainability.
The key aim is to develop recommendations and messages on four aspects: environment, economy, society and governance. The working groups have co-created webinars in which they discuss with guests how to make the Internet, and the digital world as a whole, more sustainable. The WebTalks on “Greening the Internet”, “Fair Digital Businesses” and “Internet for Social Good” are on GI’s YouTube Channel. The webinar on “Sustainable Internet Governance” takes place on 14 September.
The outcomes of this collaborative policy process will feed into the United Nation’s Internet Governance Forum in November.
