September has seen a few changes in the CEPIS leadership. Declan Brady has been appointed by the Board to fill the post of Deputy President of CEPIS. The Deputy President role was created to provide support to the President in his duties and particularly in representing CEPIS with external stakeholders. In this new position Declan will take a leading role in fostering the development of the next strategy for CEPIS.
Following Austeja’s departure, Jakub Christoph has been appointed Secretary General of CEPIS. For the last 9 years, Jakub has been working for ICDL Foundation, assisting European National Operators to enhance and modernise ICDL operations across our continent. During that time has been involved in advocacy for digital competences on European level. In this process he managed to build an impressive network of contacts within European institutions. Jakub is also familiar with CEPIS and many of our members. He is aware of successes we achieved and challenges we are facing. He will use this knowledge and experience to develop position of CEPIS and ITPE as European representatives of IT professionals’ community.
