CEPIS recently co-organised a workshop on certifying and accrediting informatics and digital skills training in Europe, together with DIGITALEUROPE and EQANIE. The workshop was an example of the growing momentum to better align digital skills initiatives across Europe. Bringing together experts from industry, accreditation bodies and professional organisations, the event focused on improving how informatics and digital skills training are certified and recognised.
Participants stressed that while many initiatives already exist, Europe still lacks coordination, trust and coherence between them, hindering progress towards the EU’s target of 20 million ICT specialists.
The discussions underlined the need for more portable and trusted skills frameworks and a shared commitment to collaborative, cross-sector solutions, marking an important step towards a more connected European digital skills ecosystem.
