
The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) is proud to announce the distinctions of Cypriot students in the International Informatics Competitions held online – due to a pandemic – in September 2020.
The Cypriot delegation won the bronze medal at the 2020 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 20), with Charalambos Georgiou. IOI was held online from 13 to 19 September 2020. Dimitris Chrysostomou, Christos Falas and Costas Tziapouras were part of the National Team which received a total of 820 points which is the top performance of all time for the Cypriot team in IOI!
Cyprus also won its first bronze medal at the 2020 Junior European Olympiad in Informatics (J-EOI 20) with Theophanis Orfanou. The event was held online 4 and 5 September 2020. Michael Christofi, Orestis Souzou and Michail Christos Papachristoforou also participated in the national team.
CCS congratulates all students who participated with the Cyprus national team and the instructors who have voluntarily supported and contributed for the preparation of all students.
