CEPIS Legal and Security Issues expert group has produced a position paper on the version of the eIDAS regulation as published after the trilogue. It aims to provide a short analysis of the improvements in 3 problematic areas and the remaining deficiencies and corresponding open issues. European Commission Announces Call for Proposals on Cybersecurity
The European Commission has announced €105 million in funding for cybersecurity projects. The funding, part of the Commission’s Digital Europe Work Programme for 2023 and 2024, will be focused on projects that strengthen cooperation between Member States on cybersecurity issues and boost the security of businesses.
Cyber Solidarity Act to Help Build “European cyber shield”
A new EU Cyber Solidarity Act has been proposed by the European Commission with an aim to raise awareness of and help detect cybersecurity threats. The proposal is also intended to increase the cybersecurity preparedness of what the Commission terms “critical entities”.
