CEPIS and EQANIE Seek Experts to Help Shape Informatics Education Quality Standards

On 25 February CEPIS President Dr. Luis Fernández Sanz participated in a crucial preliminary meeting with a technical committee from the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE). The discussion, initiated at EQANIE’s request, focused on obtaining expert feedback from CEPIS regarding the alignment of its quality label criteria for informatics university centres.

A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement that experts from CEPIS societies with an interest in IT professionalism will have the opportunity to contribute suggestions for enhancing the connection between the quality label criteria and professional IT standards.

To ensure broad engagement in this initiative, CEPIS invites interested experts to express their willingness to participate by 17 March 2025. The process will include access to detailed information on EQANIE’s learning outcome criteria and coordination of online discussions to refine the recommendations.
