Commission publishes Action Plan on the European Pillar of Social Rights

The European Commission has published the ‘Action Plan on the European Pillar of Social Rights’, and, in this context, the ‘Commission Recommendation on an effective active support to employment following the COVID-19 crisis’ (EASE). The Action Plan seeks to improve EU internal structures to face the societal challenges following the COVID-19 pandemic by setting the following targets: 1) at least 78% of people aged 20 to 64 should be in employment; 2) at least 60% of all adults should participate in training every year, and 3) the number of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion should be reduced by at least 15 million.

You will find more information on the European Pillar of Social Rights website, and on the new page with the latest information on the Action Plan.
