On 28 May the first ‘e-CF User Group for higher education and academia’ was held by ITPE. 30 participants from universities and academia across Europe joined this online session, which saw presentations from Boriss Misnevs (Transport and Telecommunication Institute, Riga), Katarina Pažur Aničić (University of Zagreb), Clare Thornley (Innovation Value Institute) and Rocco Defina (Project lead of ‘ICT Curriculum Guidelines for e-Competence and Digital Leadership’).

Participants were invited to comment and discuss the various cases of universities applying the e-Competence Framework in their teaching, as well as the ongoing development of the ICT Curriculum Guidelines led by the European standards task committee for IT professionalism. This event was the first step in establishing a community of education providers who exchange their experience on using e-CF on a regular basis. The next meeting of this group is planned to take place in Autumn of this year.
