Final Chance to Register for ICODSIP 2025


The registration to the International Conference on Digital Skills and IT Professionalism (ICODSIP) is closing on 31 October. The conference will take place at the University of Alcalá in Spain on 6-7 November.  

ICODSIP 2024: Bridging Innovation and Digital Skills in Alcalá de Henares


The first International Conference on Digital Skills, Innovation, and Professionalism (ICODSIP) took place on November 14-15, 2024, at the Universidad de Alcalá in Spain. Organised by CEPIS together with the University of Alcalá and the Spanish Informatics Assocation (ATI), the conference served as a hub for researchers, educators, and industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of digital competencies and the future of professionalism in Europe. 

IT Professionals Survey Launched


IT Professionalism Europe, an initiative of CEPIS, is undertaking a survey of IT professionals across the continent to better understand what the profession needs to develop. In a time of constant technological change, with massive upheavals caused by new technologies such as AI, it is more important than ever that the tech workforce in Europe is ready and able to meet the challenges of the digital transformation.

EU project for AI uptake towards 2030


The Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance (ARISA) aims to support a better understanding and uptake of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in business and policy contexts in Europe. The project is supported by 16 full partner organisations as well as four associated partners, including ITPE, and will continue until 2025 and beyond.

ITPE holds webinar on sustainability in IT


On 5 December, ITPE held the webinar ‘The road to Smart Cities and Digital Sustainability’. Speakers included CEPIS President and associate professor at University of Alcala, Luis Fernandez-Sanz, Sofia Segkouli of the Greek Institute for Informatics and Telematics and Simon Sarfat of SoftwareONE.

ITPE webinar on tech ethics – NEW DATE 15/11


On 15 November, 10:00 CET, ITPE will host a webinar to discuss the ethical aspects of IT and how professionals can help drive digital technology, not only by their technical expertise, but also with their ability to detect issues that could threaten a human-centric approach.
