Accenture Slovakia receives DiversIT Charter Gold Certificate
Accenture Slovakia has recently received the Gold level certificate of the European Digital Women Diversity (DiversIT) Charter. Accenture Slovakia creates, funds and participates in a wide variety of projects and initiatives to increase the number of women in technology.
Three new recipients of DiversIT Charter Gold level
At the CEPIS reception in Athens on 4 May, CEPIS announced the awarding of the DiversIT Charter Gold level to three applicants: the German Informatics Society (GI), PeopleCert Group and Accenture Slovakia.
GI receives DiversIT Charter Gold Certificate
On 4 May 2022, the German Informatics Society “Gesellschaft für Informatik” (GI) received the Gold level certificate of the European Digital Women Diversity (DiversIT) Charter. After the Informatics Association of Turkey and the Icelandic Computer Society, GI is the third CEPIS member to receive the DiversIT Charter certificate, and the second to achieve the Gold level.

This year, the CEPIS DiversIT Charter team will be organising a series of short practical webinars on specific issues that affect the number of women in tech jobs. The first webinar will focus on Micro-behaviours which drive the Impostor Syndrome and how to counter them. It will take place on 9 March online via Zoom, from 10:30 to 11:30 CET.
Breaking down the barriers for women working in tech in Europe
CEPIS recently hosted an event to tackle the lack of women in tech in Europe, titled: “Gender equality in the IT workplace: breaking down the barriers”. he focus was on the challenges and opportunities related to breaking down barriers in gender gap in ICT professions.

The CEPIS DiversIT Charter is now featured on the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, an initiative of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. It features among other resources for upskilling and strengthening digital competences.

The recordings and presentation from the DiversIT Charter info session for CEPIS members are now available to view and download on the event page on the CEPIS website. The session took place on 28 June. During it, attendees learned about specifics about the implementation and benefits of the Charter to their society and their members – from details about criteria and application process to potential financial benefits.

Iceland becomes first CEPIS member to receive Gold status of DiversIT Charter
The Icelandic Computer Society (Ský) has become the first CEPIS member society to be awarded the Gold status of the CEPIS DiversIT Charter. The Gold status reflects the organisation’s leading work in encouraging girls and young women to pursue IT studies and advancing gender equality in ICT professions.
