On 5 December, ITPE held the webinar ‘The road to Smart Cities and Digital Sustainability’ featuring CEPIS President and associate professor at University of Alcala, Luis Fernandez-Sanz, who presented the ‘SMACITE’ project for developing new job roles for smart cities. Sofia Segkouli of the Greek Institute for Informatics and Telematics presented the new CEN TC 428 project for secure and sustainable digital infrastructure, and the event ended with Simon Sarfat of SoftwareONE showcasing the ‘SoftwareONE Academy’, which trains young IT professionals for the workplace including more sustainable practices.
