Informatics Association of Turkiye Holds its Annual IT Congress

The TBD 42nd National Information Technology Congress took place on 5–6 February 2026 in Ankara, bringing together approximately 1,600 participants from across Turkey’s technology ecosystem. Organized by the Turkish Informatics Association, the congress stood out as the country’s most comprehensive national technology gathering.

Designed to shape a shared vision for Turkey’s digital future, the congress focused on the theme of Post-Digital Transformation, emphasizing not only the use of advanced technologies but also their broader impact on the economy, public administration, education, health, security, culture, society, and international relations. Decision-makers, academics, researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, NGOs, and public-sector representatives convened to collectively build Turkey’s technology vision for the new century.

Key sessions addressed topics such as Post-Digital Transformation in sports, Hospital 5.0, telecoms and 5G, public-sector digitalization, digital entrepreneurship, critical minerals for future technologies, women in computing, and education in the light of information technologies. The program also featured BTIE’26, the TBD Academy, and the 15th TBD Young IT Professionals Congress, focusing on artificial intelligence, humans, and security.

Overall, the 42nd National Informatics Congress reinforced its role as a central platform for aligning Turkey’s public, private, and academic stakeholders around a common digital future.
