“Your people, your potential” workshop series kicks off

On 22 February, we kicked off our new ”Your people, your potential: Tools for impact” practical workshop series with tackling a particularly hot topic: quotas vs targets. In this exclusive workshop, we offered our Members and a few select guests an opportunity to discuss the benefits and disadvantages of both approaches, explore where they may work well and where they are most likely to fail, where they are legal or not legal, as well as engage in a debate on monitoring and data collection. The participants shared their understanding of this issue, information about legislation and practice in their countries, and compared approaches for effective strategies to realise the full potential of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DE&I) in their workplace.

The Chair of the DiversIT Charter initiative and the Managing Director of Tectre Ltd, Gillian Arnold, gave an introduction to the topic. This was followed by a debate among the participants.

The other workshops of the series throughout the year will focus on topics such as inclusive language, equal pay and unconscious bias, so stay tuned for the next one!
