The CEPIS Informatics Education (IE) expert group held a mini-conference on teaching informatics to teachers on 11 November 2022 in Milan, Italy. The mini-conference was organised within the scope of the two-day Didamatica 2022 conference, which was organised by the Italian ICT Association (AICA).
This edition of the mini-conference continued the teacher education theme from the previous mini-conference which was held in Bratislava in June 2022. The event was moderated by Gerald Futschek, the Chair of the Informatics Education expert group. The list of speakers and topics included:
- Irene Bell: Digital SchoolHouse – A model of teacher professional development using industry and education collaboration;
- Jan Lepeltak: Coding – issues about pedagogy and didactics;
- Augusto Chioccariello: Computing in Compulsory Education: upskilling teachers;
- Enrico Nardelli: Informatics for all Coalition update.
The next mini-conference is planned for autumn 2023.
