The European Commission has published the eGovernment benchmark report for 2020. It shows that digital delivery of public services has improved during the last two years across Europe. While transparency and mobile friendliness have improved, cybersecurity remains a major challenge: only 20% of all government website URLs meet basic security criteria. The adoption of e-identity is also not progressing as fast as planned, with citizens being able to use their national eID for only 9% of the services from other countries.
