CEPIS calls for the right to encrypt
CEPIS’ Legal and Security Issues Special Interest Network (LSI SIN) calls for the rejection of a planned resolution in the Council of Ministers, which would grant authorities special access to encrypted communication between EU citizens. The special access, or ‘master key’, will weaken end-to-end encryption, and endangers digitisation in Europe, the LSI network warns.
Commission publishes eGovernment report
The European Commission has published the eGovernment benchmark report for 2020. It shows that digital delivery of public services has improved during the last two years across Europe.
All public websites must be accessible from now
As of 23 September 2020, all public sector websites are required to be accessible to Internet users with disabilities.
