IT Professionalism Conference 2021 to be held 20-22 April
You can now register to the IT Professionalism Conference 2021 hosted by IT Professionalism Europe (ITPE), eSkills Malta Foundation and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. The event will take place over three half-day online sessions on 20-22 April.
Outcomes of IT Professionalism Online Conference 12 October
On 12 October, the IT Professionalism Online Conference was co-hosted online by ITPE, eSkills Malta Foundation and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. The event focused on how organisations can tackle the challenges related to the growing digital skills gap, while contributing to European industry’s recovery following the COVID19 pandemic.
ITPE launches the ‘e-CF Explorer’
ITPE has launched the ‘e-CF Explorer’, a free online tool to increase the visibility and accessibility of the e-Competence Framework (e-CF).
IT professionalism online conference to take place on 12 October
On 12 October, ITPE, eSkills Malta and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition will host an online conference on IT professionalism. It is organised ahead of a larger, face-to-face event to be held in early 2021.
First version of ‘SkillsMatch’ project launched
The project ‘SkillsMatch’ for profiling and developing soft skills of candidates of all sectors has launched a prototype version with free access. The tool presents a European-wide assessment and learning, guiding technology to help users to adapt their skill assets to the demands of the labour market.
2020 Rolling Plan for EU ICT Standards released
The European Commission has released the ‘Rolling Plan for ICT Standards 2020’, which updates the Commission’s strategy linked to ICT standardisation. This year’s Rolling Plan focuses on key enabling technologies: 5G, Internet of Things, cloud computing, cybersecurity and data technologies.
Tech associations call for clear guidance for ICT workers during Covid-19 crisis
More than 25 associations representing tech, communications, and business communities from around the world have joined the Information Technology Industry Council’s (ITI) call to governments to adopt clear guidance to ensure ICT workers are designated as ‘essential’ in the fight against the coronavirus.
