ITPE’s Professional Ethics Expert Group Meeting was held virtually on 9 December. Discussions centered on the various definitions of ethics and how best to go from theory to practice and that this may vary from country to country.

Outcomes of IT Professionalism Online Conference 12 October
On 12 October, the IT Professionalism Online Conference was co-hosted online by ITPE, eSkills Malta Foundation and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. The event focused on how organisations can tackle the challenges related to the growing digital skills gap, while contributing to European industry’s recovery following the COVID19 pandemic.
European AI Policy Conference on 1 December moved online
On 1 December, the ‘European AI Policy Conference’ will be hosted online by the Center for Data Innovation. The European AI Policy Conference is a high-level forum to connect stakeholders working to promote AI in Europe. ITPE is a knowledge partner of the event.
ITPE launches the ‘e-CF Explorer’
ITPE has launched the ‘e-CF Explorer’, a free online tool to increase the visibility and accessibility of the e-Competence Framework (e-CF).
IT professionalism online conference to take place on 12 October
On 12 October, ITPE, eSkills Malta and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition will host an online conference on IT professionalism. It is organised ahead of a larger, face-to-face event to be held in early 2021.
ITPE holds e-CF User Group meeting focusing on companies
On Wednesday 1 July ITPE held the e-CF User Group’s meeting focusing on application of the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) in companies.
New ITPE e-CF user tool coming soon
ITPE is developing an interactive tool to explore the e-Competence Framework and the ICT Role Profiles. The tool will allow the user to browse the framework diagram and read the descriptors of each competency, select roles to view the competency/levels that define them, as well as the role and competency descriptions and create his/her own custom profile (a set of competencies/levels).
First ITPE e-CF User Group for higher education held 28 May
On 28 May the first ‘e-CF User Group for higher education and academia’ was held by ITPE. 30 participants from universities and academia across Europe joined this online session
ITPE and Global Knowledge held tech talk on AI ethics
On 21 April Global Knowledge and co-host ITPE welcomed leading experts for an online discussion on the ethical aspects of AI technology development, and what best practices may be applied going forward.
