The 2021 edition of the Italian IT Olympics sees the triumph of three young women, who have obtained a gold and two silver medals and therefore will be three of the 4 participants who will represent Italy at the International Olympics in Indonesia next August. CEPIS also congratulates Laura Acinapura of the Liceo Scientifico Evangelista Torricelli of Bolzano, Noemi Gambirasio of the Liceo Scientifico Lussana of Bergamo and Daria Pasqualetti of the Liceo Scientifico Dini of Pisa on this achievement.

Gillian Arnold, Member of the CEPIS Board of Directors and Chair of the Women in ICT expert group, adds: “At CEPIS we are only too aware of how well these young women have done to succeed in winning awards in this area.  Women are such an important part of the IT skills agenda as evidenced by the work that both the EU and we are doing.  We wish them the greatest success in their future studies and careers and hope that they will become the technical leaders of the future”.
