The European Commission has opened a public consultation to shape its upcoming Gender Equality Strategy for 2026–2030. The consultation invites input from a broad range of stakeholders, including national authorities, civil society, equality bodies, employers, trade unions, academics, and individuals with an interest in gender equality.
The initiative builds on the roadmap for women’s rights adopted in March 2025, which sets out a long-term vision for achieving full gender equality across Europe. The new strategy will define concrete actions the Commission plans to implement over the next five years to advance this goal.
Gender equality is both a fundamental EU right and core value. The consultation is open until 11 August 2025, and contributions can be submitted via the Commission’s consultation portal. We encourage all CEPIS member societies to contribute to this important document to ensure that gender equality in the tech sector is achieved.
