Final Chance to Register for ICODSIP 2025


The registration to the International Conference on Digital Skills and IT Professionalism (ICODSIP) is closing on 31 October. The conference will take place at the University of Alcalá in Spain on 6-7 November.  

NJSzT Leads Digital Awareness Training for Educators


A diverse group of teachers, school social workers, after-school programme mentors, school psychologists, career counselors, and IT instructors for the visually impaired recently participated in the three-day “Together for Digitally Aware Youth” train-the-trainer programme. The programme was organised by United Way Hungary. 

CEPIS and EQANIE Seek Experts to Help Shape Informatics Education Quality Standards


On 25 February CEPIS President Dr. Luis Fernández Sanz participated in a crucial preliminary meeting with a technical committee from the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE). The discussion, initiated at EQANIE’s request, focused on obtaining expert feedback from CEPIS regarding the alignment of its quality label criteria for informatics university centres. 

Hungarian Team Achieves Two Gold Medals at CEOI 


The Hungarian team has returned home with two gold medals from the Central-European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI), marking a historic achievement. This year’s CEOI took place in Brno, Czechia, from June 23-29. Informatics Teachers Education Mini-Conference


A miniconference devoted to Informatics Teachers Education, Curricula, and Technology in Teaching Informatics, organised by the CEPIS Expert Group on Informatics Education, in cooperation with the Slovak Society for Computer Science, and the Department of Computer Science of Comenius University was held on May 31, 2024 in Bratislava, as one of the events organized at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Department of Computer Science.
